- www.uspto.gov
- The main US patent office web portal. You can search patents,
patent applications, and trademarks. You can also file applications.
- www.pat2pdf.org - This site will convert any US patent to a PDF formated file. The usps uses some crazy tif format for patents.
- www.UtahInventor.org - Organization for Utah based inventors.
- www.InventedInUtah.com - Organization
for Utah based inventors. Has an anual symposium and awards cerimony
where they give away tens of thousands of dolars in cash and free
services.
- www.Science.gov - DB search of multiple science related US goverment databases.
- www.scienceaccelerator.gov - DB search of multiple science related US DOE goverment databases.
- www.marketresearch.com - This can be access through the Marriott Library at the University of Utah for free.
- Prototype Service Provider Directory - This is a list of prototype resources that we've compiled.
- www.sbir.utah.gov
- Help with writing and editing SBIR grant applications. Phase I
grant writing costs $100 to $600, Editing costs $100-$400/ session.

It Yourself, by David Pressman. This is the definitive bible on
writing your own patents. It's been invaluable in writing our own
patents, and in managing our IP attorneys.
