Designing an electronics board for manufacturing is an often overlooked aspect of design, or something that is never though about until the board after the board is in production. A board which is not easily manufactured, adds to manufacturing costs and increases the likelihood of defects. 

At Daycounter, we consider the manufacturability of a board through out the design process. We try to use surface mount technology, where possible, to decrease labor costs. We also try to minimize the number of different kinds and values used on a board so that you don't have to needlessly keep a large inventory of parts. We also try to keep proper clearances and tolerances on part placements so that the board is ready for automated manufacturing.
